North Bay Island

Just across the water from Port Blair, North Bay Island is one of the most popular destinations in the Andamans for underwater adventures. Famous for its coral reefs and water sports, it’s often referred to as the “Coral Garden” of Andaman. The clear waters reveal vibrant marine life – from colorful corals and reef fish to sea anemones and clams. Adventure enthusiasts can enjoy snorkeling, scuba diving, and sea walking, while others can take glass-bottom boat rides to witness the underwater spectacle without getting wet.

How to Reach:
The island is about 15–20 minutes away by ferry from Phoenix Bay Jetty in Port Blair. Regular boats and tour packages are available throughout the day, often combined with Ross Island excursions.

Best Time to Visit:
October to April is perfect for water sports and sightseeing. Avoid monsoon months, as water activities are suspended and visibility is poor.

Popular Attractions Nearby:

Ross Island – A historical site of British ruins.
